What is Equestrian Facilitated Learning?

With the guidance of Karin Dilou, participants in her Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) lessons deepen the relationship they have with themselves. To communicate clearly with these sensitive animal, we first must become clear of our own intention and own body language. Students quickly learn that the deeper they understand themselves and the signals they are subconsciously omitting to the to animal, the more responsive and positive the horse will respond.

These skills, which require hands on experience to learn, can aid in many different applications of life. Karin has used EFL to help her students with things like: personal growth, relationship, career , child development, and parenting. Participants in EFL develop a thriving mind set capable of endless compassion, innovation, energetic adaptability, and creativity.

Equine Facilitated Learning requires no previous experience with horses and involves working on the ground with the horse in a safe setting. EFL may or may not proceed to working on horseback. Just a single session with some of Karin’s clients has had life changing impacts.
